1- 64 YEARS OF THE CUBAN REVOLUTION. WHEN MORE CUBA? ANALYSIS (ENTIRE ARTICLE- FR)
The authorities of Cuba and the allied countries celebrated on January 1 2023, the 64th anniversary of the triumph on the island of the Revolution led by Fidel Castro, which marked the beginning of the socialist government in the country and ended the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.
THE CUBAN EXPERIENCE – ANALYSIS
On August 16, 1955, the Congress of the militants of the Orthodox Party met, where Fidel Castro was militant. There, and under the proposal of Fidel Castro, it was established that the armed uprising was the only method capable of ending the tyranny of Batista. But the directives of the Party, imbued with reformism and conciliation, did nothing to set up the armed struggle and surrendered to the bourgeois democratic game.
Because of this incapacity, seven months later Fidel Castro formed a revolutionary organization to set up the insurrection. In the letter where he announces the insurrection he says verbatim: “7 months have passed – What has the leadership done since that day? Defending his conciliatory and mediating thesis. What have we done? We defended the revolutionary thesis and put it into practice. What was the result of the first? 7 months miserably wasted. What was the result of the second? 7 months of fruitful effort and a powerful revolutionary organization that very soon will be ready to fight” (Fidel Castro “La revolución Cubana” page 105)
The July 26 Movement was born to accomplish the task that neither the Orthodox Party nor the Popular Socialist (Communist) Party had been able to perform: the armed uprising to bring down the dictatorship of the oppressors and exploiters of Batista.
Che Guevara, analyzing after the conquest of power, the nature and the consequences of the armed struggle wrote in his work “guerrilla warfare”: “ We consider that three important contributions made the Cuban revolution to the mechanics of revolutionary movements in America ” :
– The popular forces can win a war against the official army.
– We must not always wait for all the conditions to be met for the revolution, the revolutionary center (foco) can create it.
– In underdeveloped America, the ground for armed struggle must be in the mountains. (Sierra Maestra)
“The duty of South American revolutionaries does not consist in waiting for a change in the balance of power and the miracle of social revolutions, but to take advantage of everything that can favor the revolutionary movement of this change in the balance of power and make revolutions. “Fidel Castro.
What resulted lately in the “foquism” and the development of guerrilla groups in all of South America, from Tupamaros, Montoneros, MIR / APRA to Sendero Luminoso in Peru with their respective failure , due to the underestimation of the urban proletariat (and the belief in the revolutionary potential of the peasants) and the ignorance of the fundamental role of the Communist Party in the conduct of the revolution.
Because the Cuban revolution has made the peoples of the world and many revolutionaries believe that the conquest of political power is possible by the fact of 12 men with a gun in their hands who would be willing to offer their lives for the revolution . If it is true that the armies of the bourgeoisie can be defeated by the armed struggle of the masses, this cannot be the case with only 12 men.
The Cuban revolution has been able to defend itself against Anglo-Zionist imperialism all these years thanks to the fundamental role of the Cuban Communist Party. It should never be underestimated. In Cuba, the group of revolutionaries understood Marxism very quickly and they were able to work together. The Vanguard Party must lead the revolution and must understand that the moment of national liberation lasts a short time. Then you have to know how to defend this conquest.
Foquism (multiple centers of struggle), guerrilla warfare is one of the currents of the armed revolutionary movement, with insurrectional warfare (theorized by Lenin and the Bolsheviks for the Russian revolution) and the Chinese people’s war of Mao Tse Tung.
This comes from the three revolutions: the Cuban, the Soviet and the Chinese.

The detailed history of the development of the Rebel Army’s takeover has been sufficiently documented and disseminated, so there is no need to rewrite it. But we believe it is important to emphasize three points:
1- First, the guerrilla struggle was not led by an organization or a political party with a clearly defined program. The movement of July 26 did not have a precise common ideology and the governmental plan which it offered was a stage which one can define as bourgeois democrat. The primary objective was to end the Batista dictatorship.
The Cuban bourgeoisie, even the wealthiest sector, looked on sympathetically and supported the Sierra Maestra rebels. Manuel Urrutia Lleo, Miro Cardona and others are the best witnesses to this complacent attitude of the Cuban bourgeoisie.
2- Secondly, Yankee imperialism, which carefully measured Cuban public opinion, and especially that of the upper middle class, played a neutral role in the Castro-Batista conflict. We affirm this, although Batista received help in arms and consultants from the USA, but these operations were more commercial than political. In reality, the imperialist leaders have always believed in the triumph of Castro, and the possibility of a change from a pro-imperialist dictatorship to a pro-imperialist bourgeois-democratic government. If the imperialists had foreseen the path that the guerrilla government was going to take, they would have provoked a crueller direct invasion than they did in the Dominican Republic in April 1965.
3- Thirdly, another important fact is the actual number of contingents made up by the Rebel Army, which at the end of 1958 numbered just over 2,000 men. One of the most important armed operations carried out by Camilo Cienfuegos and Che, in Santa Clara (Capital of the province of Las Villas) was carried out by a total of 460 combatants, and Fidel Castro, on January 2, 1959 received the unconditional capitulation of Batista in the Cuartel Moncada of Santiago de Cuba, in command of another column no more numerous than that of Cienfuegos and Guevara.
He was an American international adventurer William Alexandre Morgan , in command of a detachment with no combat experience who stayed in the Sierra de Escambray, (the central mountains as part of Escambray’s Second National Front, helping to pave the way for Fidel’s forces Castro to ensure the victory) which caused the capitulation of Batista’s officers of the Naval base of Cienfuegos, and took the direction of the City. Subsequently this American will betray the revolution and will be executed.
That is to say a detachment of 2000 men in an offensive warlike operation which goes from August 1958 to January 1959, militarily defeated the Regular Armed Forces of the Country which had more than 30,000 men and constituted one of the best repressive apparatuses of the South American reaction.
This last consideration can only be explained by the other two previous factors: the complacent support of the Cuban upper class, which was influential in the Armed Forces, and the practical neutrality of Yankee imperialism. Will these circumstances be repeated in the history of A COUNTRY IN OUR AMERICA?
2- BELGRADE /IMPORTANT SECOND MEETING OF THE WORLD ANTI-IMPERIALIST PLATFORM. (FR)
(WORLD ANTI IMPERIALIST PLATFORM – WAP 2022)
The united anti-imperialist front of vanguard forces in liberated and unliberated countries from the imperialist yoke is imperative. The need to create a united and solid front of all the forces of progress to follow a non-capitalist path is urgent.
This December 17, 2022, in Belgrade, more than 25 left-wing political parties from Eastern Europe, Eurasia and Asia, gathered at this meeting to denounce the imperialism of the United States, the NATO and the European Union which in their various maneuvers threaten the peoples of the world.
But why was the presence of Arab or African parties not planned? Why were Lebanese anti-imperialist fronts and movements like Hezbollah or Palestinian Hamas or FLPL not present? Let us not forget that the anti-imperialist potentialities take on the most diverse ideological and political forms. They are also manifested by nationalist or religious movements.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO DISCOVER THEM, NOT TO EXCLUDE THEM AND TO BRING THEM INTO THE MAINSTREAM OF THE LIBERATION MOVEMENT.
3- ANTI-IMPERIALIST AND PATRIOTIC UNITED AFRICA: BIRTH IN ACCRA (GHANA) OF THE WEST AFRICAN PEOPLES’ ORGANIZATION (OPAO). (FR)
Lenin believed that ” the rapprochement between European socialism and the national liberation movements, the merging of their interests in a common struggle against world imperialism, also strengthens the positions of socialism “.
He said “We will exert all our efforts to get closer to the Mongols, Persians, Indians, Egyptians, and merge with them; we consider it our duty and our interest to do so, otherwise socialism will be fragile in Europe” Lenin, Works t 23p73.
4- NOT RECOMMENDED BOOK: “A BRIEF WORLD HISTORY OF THE LEFT” – SHLOMO SAND, 2022. (FR)
This new publication on the history of the left by Shlomo Sand disappointed us, because apart from the pretension that it has to summarize in a hundred pages the movement of the international left, it seems to us that there has many errors, approximation, simplism and we realize that Shlomo Sand is a fervent anti-Stalinist, an anti-Castro, an anti-Soviet, and of course an anti-Arab and an anti-Pan-Arabist.
In the chapters that we are going to enumerate one realizes his anti-Marxism, very typical of the petty bourgeoisie to which he belongs, a nutritive medium for the anti-communist bacillus. Some strata are receptive to Western propaganda directed against socialism and anti-imperialism. He is what we would call today a “liberal leftist”……more in the link.
5- TRIBUTE TO THE PATRIOT, ARAB TUNISIAN, FRIEND, HUSSEIN TRIKI AND HIS BOOK “HERE IS PALESTINE, NAKED ZIONISM”. (ESP)
Hussein Triki, was born in Tunisia in 1916, he engaged very young in the fight against French colonialism and was condemned to death by the French colonialist. Then, from 1956, once the independence of Tunisia had been acquired, he left for Latin America and in 1962 he was appointed representative of the Arab League for South America, based in Buenos Aires .
He published “ Here Is Palestine, Zionism Naked ” , in French, Arabic and Spanish in 1976, a radical work containing valuable information on the activities of Zionist groups in Argentina. ( It reveals in particular the training of Zionist armed groups on Argentine soil which it will pay with the persecution and the media demonization orchestrated by the Mossad and acolytes ). With clear figures, he indicated that enormous fortunes were sent to the new colonial entity from Argentina and Mexico to help the Zionist colonization.
6- JOKE OF THE DAY : NATO General Secretary nominated for Nobel Peace Prize – NATO is actively involved in a brutal imperialist war against Russia and the head of this criminal organization is named “man of peace”! http://www.5septiembre.cu/secretario-general-de-la-otan-nominado-al-nobel-de-la-paz
